For the cabinet, the finish is Sherwin Williams Pure White, so is the wall color. Perimeter countertop is Pental Quartz “Absolute Black Granite Honed”. The island countertop is Pental Quartz “Arezzo” and the backsplash is Bedrosians “White Cararra Marble Random Linear Mosaic”.

This mid-sized timeless u-shaped kitchen has a light wood floor completed with stainless steel appliances, a farmhouse sink, an island, a white backsplash, white cabinets, and quartz countertops. Overall, the look in this kitchen emanates a combination of traditional and contemporary style. The classic style can be seen from the light wood floor, while for a more modern look, have a look at its shaker cabinet.

The shaker cabinets is in white. The color is Benjamin Moore White Dove. This color makes the kitchen look clean and spotless. And for the countertops, they are actually not really black. However, the dark color is suitable as well for a modern look kitchen. The countertops are Caesartone “Lagos Blue”. Even though it has “blue” in it, the color is not actually blue. Lagos Blue is more like greyish black. And this color is considered the most sophisticated quartz countertops for the kitchen.

The shaker cabinets are white oak wood. Look at the beautiful stain, though. Unfortunately, the stain is completely a custom stain and couldn’t really be defined and classified. It took a few times for the designer to reach the perfect shade. However, you can still use the black countertops. They are granite sienna mist.

What makes this kitchen unique is also the super extra island lights. These pendants are from visual comfort, or Circa lighting called the Halle small lantern. The island measurement is approximately 11’x4’, perfect for a mid-sized kitchen.

If you are curious about the backsplash, the tile is from Tabarka Rue de Rosier. The grey color looks transitionally perfect for a white and black color combination.

This traditional kitchen has a custom stain floor. The glossy and polished wooden floor is perfect for a traditional style. It is a maple wood type finished with a custom stain. And because it is custom, we couldn’t exactly guess what color it is. Because to achieve that color, most of the time, the designer did some trials and errors until she reached the exact color she wanted.

The island also shares a similar type of wood. It is Lafontaine door style in maple wood. Its polished white countertops create a great contrast with the black countertops of the cabinetry. Speaking of cabinets, that’s the main point in this kitchen. The cabinets are from StarMark Cabinetry. The cabinets were also out of maple wood in Marshmallow Cream color, complete with an inset door.

These white recessed panel cabinets look as if they were painted. However, they were not painted. It is the finish called Tinted Varnish, which is much more durable than paint. The dark countertops are brushed black granite for the perimeter and polished Carrara white marble on the island. The combination of black and white of the countertops really represents the simplicity that is often associated with contemporary style.

Even though it looks like a wooden floor, it is actually vinyl in beige color. With the multicolored oriental rug as its accent, the floor seems brighter.

As it is a small kitchen, there is no kitchen island like you usually see in a larger area. Instead, there is a rolling table used as a kitchen island. The table is also used as a high top kitchen table. This efficient design doesn’t compromise efficiency for its limited space. The black stools are well equipped too for the high table. Both the table and the stools provide a matte polished look in this kitchen.

The white shaker cabinets look nice with the dark wood countertops. When it comes to countertops, you see that there are two colors of countertops used in this kitchen. First, it is the countertops of the island. It is the reclaimed wood island from Big Daddy’s antiques in San Francisco. A reclaimed furniture piece like this is the perfect choice if you want to recreate a grandma’s kitchen. The key to getting perfect reclaimed furniture is the finish. And in this kitchen, the finish is totally stunning.

Second, countertops are ones from the cabinets. They are actually woods, too but painted in black. It is to create a great contrast with the spotless cabinets. The woods are white oak. White oak is the best choice because it is hard, durable, and water resistant.
