I know…crazy right? But for Jill + Greg and all of their friends and family, it was not crazy at all. It was truly the perfect intimate setting. When Jill and Greg first met with us we loved their calming demeanor and could tell they were head over heels in love. They explained to us that they already had everything they needed. They wanted their wedding to be about their friends and family coming together and sharing the love. For their ceremony they had everyone stand in a circle around them. It was absolutely beautiful.

With her robust voice, dark lyrics and romantic visuals, she has become a staple in my go to editing music. Petra Storrs is one of the key players behind some of Flo’s amazing videos including Kiss with a Fist and Cosmic Love. Their art direction and set design are amazing! Needless to say I have purchased tickets to their show at the Palladium on May 1st and want YOU to come with me!! So we have teamed up with our Bell Jar suite mate, Bows + Arrows, and want to give away two tickets!

I needed to take time for some personal projects and blogging had to take a back seat. Winter has now turned to spring and I have a handful of things I’d like to share with you.

Jon and I have just returned from an incredible week in San Francisco celebrating our honeymoon. The experience of a wedding and marriage itself is so incredible. It was a day filled with family, friends, support, laughter, and love. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives. It has also given me a new outlook on photographing weddings and I have to say that I love my job so much more now. Stepping inside the shoes of my brides was a priceless experience and I learned so much from the entire adventure.

As many of you know, we opened a studio at The Bell Jar in October. We have grown so much that I will be working at Apryl Ann Photography full time from now on! It is so exciting and refreshing to know that I will be living and breathing my passion. We have also been working with an amazing designer, Aileen Cheng, on a new brand. She is the person responsible for my new logo you see and I can’t wait to share the rest!

So for now, here is a sneak peak of what’s been happening and things to come.

I am sharing two very important things in my life from 2011. First, I got engaged!!! By far one of the best days of my life. Finding Jon has taken my happiness to a whole new level and I can’t wait to be an amazing wife in 2012. Secondly, I opened my first commercial space! With the help of Monika Merchant Design Studio and so many friends and family, we turned a tiny room into a beautiful little studio where I can meet with clients, get inspired and be creative. Thank you everyone for your love and support in 2011 and I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings! Cheers!
